The Peace of Christ

by debbie weatherhead

The snow falls silently to the ground

And seems to draw a curtain ‘round.

A soft, secret, silent shroud

That makes life’s clamour not so loud.

The strident noise is muffled now,

The worried minds are calmed somehow.

The Christ child born so long ago;

 His peace found in the falling snow.
