The women behind the screen

We don’t write every prayer and post. Rather, we connect and encourage other women, Canadian Disciples, and our ecumenical partners to share their gifts. These pieces are carefully curated to comfort, challenge, nurture, and inspire all of us to live out our faith today and everyday.

While working as a travel counsellor in Ontario in the 1980s, Terry perceived a call to Ministry. She obtained her B.A. at the University of Western Ontario prior to attending Lexington Theological Seminary in Kentucky to acquire her Master of Divinity. Afterwards, Terry completed a year-long Residency in Clinical Pastoral Education at the Cleveland Clinic.

Terry has served as a multi-faith chaplain at Kingston General Hospital. She also served as the minister of Winger Church of Christ (Disciples) from 1998–2006. Her ministry moved into the non-profit world when she began working with adults recovering from drug and alcohol addictions at a community corrections agency. Terry’s vocational call motivated her to return to healthcare ministry and she began serving at a hospice.

Terry returned to Ontario in July 2019. She currently serves as the Spiritual Care Practitioner with both St. Joseph’s Hospice and the London/Middlesex Palliative Care Outreach Team through the SW Local Health Integration Network.
